It is an honor to be chosen to lead an association that has been the cornerstone of the economic growth and development of Bangladesh. BIPPA member companies have made significant investments in the power sector and supply over 50% of the electricity in the National Grid. The power we collectively supply helps people from all walks of life. From tea stall operators to titans of industry, the benefit from efficient, cost effective and uninterrupted power is a universal need.  

I look forward to working with my fellow BIPPA members, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (MPEMR), BPDB and all other stakeholders to overcome the current economic crisis. During these tough times, BIPPA will focus on energy efficiency and utilization to supply uninterrupted electricity to every household and industry in Bangladesh. We aim to be a catalyst for the amazing transformation that Bangladesh is going through.

One of the major goals of BIPPA is to establish a combined platform to provide major stakeholders, including the government, with a single point of contact rather than conducting one-on-one discussion programs. This will help ensure transparency between the private sector, government and the public. We hope to regain the confidence and the trust of the people who we ultimately serve. 

BIPPA, a leading trade body in Bangladesh, maintains robust corporate governance and transparent access-to-information with all its stakeholders. This website is part of our commitment to democratize information related to the trade body, news, relevant policies and members’ details so that anyone interested about our work can always be well informed.
